I am a big fan of the children’s author David Shannon. When Carter was very little he loved his book “No David!” and took it everywhere he went. Long before he could read, he would quote each page. Little did I know, David actually grew up in Spokane! I’m not sure how, but my friend Shae booked him to come to her school on the south hill. She mentioned it to me and I was so thrilled and got him to come to our little school as well. He did a great job! He read the kids his latest book, taught them all about the character David, and showed them how to draw David. He signed his drawing and it is currently framed in our school library. What a cool experience for the kids (and myself!)
