Junior Shock Dance Camp

DSC00717A while ago, we went to a Spokane Shock Football game and I saw this cutie named Kaila that used to be one of my gymnasts.  In the program I noticed that the Shock dancers put on a camp for kids and I just had to sign Sydney up.  It was a good experience, two days of dance camp followed by a half-time performance at a game.  DSC00718DSC00709Backstage, Sydney was a little nervous.  I have never seen her like this about dance, but once they ran through the routine she was ready to go! (Hard to see but she has on the short black shorts and an orange headband)DSC00711

It was so fun to reconnect with Kaila, and good timing too, she moved to Denver two weeks later (I’ll be watching for her on the court at the Nuggets games where she'll be dancing this year!)

Derek also loved the game, mostly he was obsessed with Shox the Fox!

Hooopfest 2012

After coming home from Hoopfest with an insane amount of blisters, Carter swore he would never do it again!  Well, two weeks before, one of his friends told him they had a team member drop out and they wanted him to play.  So, of course, he did.  It was a fairly cool day and we did a much better job managing his feet so it was a success!

The Water Warriors lost, then won, then lost.  Which was the perfect scenario for us because they didn’t play on Sunday!

Pickers

DSC00680DSC00681DSC00682DSC00683DSC00684DSC00685DSC00686DSC00687DSC00688DSC00689DSC00690DSC00691DSC00692DSC00693DSC00695DSC00694DSC00696

Summer is always full of picking.  First it was cherries at the farm, then strawberries at Greenbluff, then back to the farm for raspberries, and over to Suncrest for blueberries!  So glad I have such good helpers!

Three!

I say this every time one of my kids has a birthday, but I can’t believe Olivia is three already!  We had the typical week-long celebrations with all of the different grandparents but I only managed to remember to take pictures at one of them.

(Banner courtesy of Sydney and her friends)DSC00670DSC00673DSC00674I am loving the simple cake requests my kids have been making lately.  Olivia wanted “a big pink circle cake.” No problem!DSC00675DSC00676DSC00677DSC00679DSC00678

I must be hanging on to my last baby because she has stayed in a crib longer than any of my other children.  With no new baby, she didn’t have to get kicked out!  So for a combined birthday present for my girls, they got to redo their room. Phase one was matching big girl beds.  I’ll post pictures of the whole room once it is done!
