Blessed Baby

My sister’s new baby Levi was blessed by my baby brother Jordan.  I love this fresh from Heaven Spirit (but I’m glad I don’t have to hang out with him in the middle of the night :)

It was also Brooklyn’s birthday so we had some cake and cousin time!

Silverwood

I think it’s so great that our school does the Silverwood reading program where kids can earn a free ticket.  This year we took cousin Paige along with us (since her Dad is in Korea and her mom just had a baby).

                                 We hit the water park first because for some reason we think it is worse to stand in line for water slides than for roller coasters.         

Paige wasn’t sure about the wave pool. . .

          Until she found a lifejacket!

The kids always pick the grossest stuff at the candy shop! (three foot long marshmallow rope Mmmmm.)

Then we hit the rides.  Sydney was super brave and went on every ride she was tall enough for.  Carter was also brave!  He did the Aftershock, the craziest roller coaster I have ever been on!

The bumper boats were hilarious!  Paige managed to get out in the middle (where people on the shore can spray you with water) then she couldn’t figure out how to go and pretty much spun in circles the entire time.  People sprayed the heck out of her but she was still totally happy by the end!!

We ended the day with some ice cream and a train ride.

River Float

Some friends of ours (the Bolles)  invited our family to float the Little Spokane River with them for FHE.  They have these great canoes that held our whole family!  Derek and Garth ditched the canoe for a bit and floated on their backs!

July in a Nutshell

I was going through some pictures and here are some tidbits from July that hadn’t  made it into a post. . .

Sydney lost her first tooth.  It was so loose, it just fell into her mouth in the library bathroom :)

First Annual Elders quorum “skeet and eat.”  Garth was a good shot. . .I was not!

Sydney is a little Martha Stewart, always creating something.  This day it was flowers for her hair.

I had a “mother of the year” moment when I ran over Olivia’s toe with a grocery cart at WinCo.  She has since lost her toenail and tells everyone what I did!

I got a speeding ticket a while ago so I got to spend a whole sunny July Saturday in traffic school next to this super hot socks and sandals guy!  At least the ticket will not go on my record.

I got to attend a baby shower for my sister Kim.  The activity was making custom onesies.  I made this cute giraffe with a fluffy tail.  Pretty cute, I thought.

Kim has since had her baby.  Levi Russell Strom was 7 pounds 2 ounces and 19 inches (her biggest yet).  He is such a sweet baby!
