We had an amazing trip to the Washington Coast this August! We camped at the same spot we did last year, Cape Disappointment in Long Beach. It was far from disappointing!!! We were so close the the beach you just had to make your way to some drift wood and trees and this is what you got!
The second day, we drove South to Canon Beach Oregon and stopped on this beautiful beach. The weather was so perfect!!
Crazy Story: we walked past that big rock and into a little cove to hang out for the day. Notice the water is FAR from the rock. After a few hours, we noticed people starting to pack up. Not too long later, people were looking a little frenzied as they packed. We realized that the tide was coming up FAST! We had plenty of dry sand in our cove, but by the time we got back to this rock to try to get back to our car, we were wading in water up to our knees! We almost got to spend the rest of the day in our “perfect spot”
The kids had a blast playing with our new huge frisbee and eventually got warm enough to splash in the waves!
It was quite hilarious watching Sydney frolic in the waves. I felt like I was watching her audition for Baywatch or something! This is my favorite Pam Anderson shot.
This cute little waterfall was in the cove we stopped in. The kids and I had fun climbing up it and following the little creek for a while!
Then we flew kites until nature pushed us out!!
